CHECK EM OUT!!

Great movie. Everyone you make is a masterpiece. Hadyn Painter

"I'd better get going before I pee in your flute case." haha
And the homeless guy collapse. Poignant.
I like the way the movie's in black and white, and the food's in colour haha
The Devils lettuce?
The gunman has an amazing face.
It's a running commentary.
To be continued.
Elaine Arshinoff

I am very glad I came. It is poignant, funny and an insightful comment on women in the arts. The dolls themselves are so beautifully sculpted...their facial expressions are strong. Casting Tom as the villain is priceless, was that his idea? I hope you make lots more movies.
Maria Kasstan /singer/songwriter

Hi Carole! The film was amazing! You're so talented! great film and company..A young lady I know called Jenny B. who sells vintage clothes, her father knew of your doll creations and thought they were amazing and worth a lot of money...oh oh . this sounds a bit like the film!! But it's true and real and nice compliment.
Naomi Laufer /poet/dancer

Thank you for a wonderful evening! The movie was great, as was the music. I hope you're working on another movie. When you upload it all to Youtube everyone should watch it. I'm a big supporter of Carole Joskowitz

Bravo ! And the Oscar goes to - well done carole now I,m hungry for Chinese food!
Corinne Osko

Tom's performance as the villain was perfect; very professional sounding. I was highly impressed by Simon's imitation of Ringo Starr's voice. He did a good Mick Jagger too. And as for the picture as a whole, I think *Dolls In A Fog* is Carole's best film so far! Tom Salsberg /retired voice actor

Hello Carole
I thought I would congratulate you on your Film Premiere. I did very much enjoy it and I could tell the audience did as well.  The
Eyesore Cinema was a cozy spot to view the film.
Robert Keller

I watched it on utube..very funny movie. Howie Joskowitz

I liked the first part of your movie best where you heard the audience
laughing. The parts in the U.S. were interesting since I have never been
there.
Were all of those places real that you actually visited?
The mobster theme was entertaining.
It was a bit long. Maybe you could make a short version too. A lot of the
films on TVO come in regular 1 hour and 1.5 hour "feature" versions.
Doug Lee

It was such a fun event. Classic and artsy, funny, whimsical. Sherry Craig /Eclectic creative traveller

I loved the show and the venue was very fun, I wish I could have stayed longer. The production was very professional and I loved the film noir quality to the film. It was funny and your puppets are so amazing! Very FUN I must say!! Matt DeWilde / sfx artist

Yea, enjoyed the night was a blast. Movie was funny Michael Edwardes /singer/songwriter

Congratulations on getting another film finished and out there! You rock. What worked well - We were all impressed with the dolls and the sets. Those are definitely where your talents shine. The level of detail is awesome. - I loved the autobiographical meta concept of movie within a movie. - The likenesses and overall style are a lot of fun. - The opening scene with the flashing character was hilarious and shocking. - Ringo was spot on! Simon nailed it. - The spots of color were a nice touch. They were effective for drawing attention where you wanted it to go. General Feedback - The dialogue is rambling in a lot of places, full of clichés and doesn't sound like the way people speak. Sure it's dollspeak but it's hard to relate to what they are saying and how they are saying it. There are a few funny bits like "the devils lettuce". - Many of the scenes are too long for what happens in them. - The banter isn't interesting enough to sustain them. - The dolls and the sets are awesome, but it feels like the story and dialogue don't have the same level of polish. - As a story, this feels a lot like a first draft. The beats are there but it's quite awkward. - It might be interesting to make the celebrity characters more like parodies of themselves. It's possible that I just didn't pick up on the subtleties here. Woody could crack some dry humor, Mick could dance like Jagger, Paul could talk in Beatles lyrics, Marilyn could be morose and bite heads off of chickens or whatever he is known for. At first I didn't really catch what was going on in that scene but watching it again it made more sense. Fame and Fortune I think these films might be more likely to produce income as a series of shorts. They are ripe for gathering a following on social media. How about doing your films as a web series? A bunch of shorts that tell a longer story? That would just require a bit of re-editing of different scenes. I think you could get some good traction on TikTok. Regarding the nudity and the music, just replace any of the commercial music and censor out the nudity. It would be just as funny. I hope this feedback is helpful. It's given with honesty, sincerity and love as are your films. Mike Peredo / Creative Technologist

Hi Carole:  Your event was amazing, and your movie the best yet!  It was so nice to see so many people I haven't seen in a while.  Covid definitely made us into cave dwellers for a few years.  I was thrilled that you asked our group to perform.  It was the perfect venue for us.  Looking forward to socializing with you sometime soon.  Love,
Charles Taylor / artist/musician/poet

Wow, great work, Carole! Loved the dolls, the sets, and especially the music. Captive audience! One small criticism, some repetitive dialogue in the restaurant shootout . Thanks for inviting me to be part of it! Looking forward to more projects.
Hey was that really Marilyn Manson?
BTW, great voice impressions of Ringo and Paul. Great job! Glen Gary / musician

It was a fun night! Lots of fun and the film was great! Chris Campbell

Hi Carol I'm watching Dolls In a Fog -- will text you later -
I watched the whole thing - it's great
It held my interest all the way I laughed
You have mastered story structure
I could say more about it - it's really kind of brilliant. It's brilliant Carole. Slow paced but relentless. Enter it in festivals! Your dolls rock.
Ann Diamond/writer

Love those "dolls." Nicely creepy and, at times, downright funny. Thanks for sharing, Tommy.

Also liked your cameo.

Is Carole familiar with the horror editor, Ellen Datlow? She's done some anthologies featuring dolls.

Michael Libling

It was a pretty good movie, your dolls really look alive in those close ups,I really liked that song "Sweet Smoke" who is that singer? I also liked that version of that Velvet Underground song. It was a pretty good movie although some parts seemed to skip somewhat.
Stanley Joskowitz

I love the movie and dolls n stuff and how you put together all the elements including the music... and right down to the cool credits at the end.  The Woody Allen doll & character was priceless!  I thought your and Alma's arrangement of Sweet Smoke worked really well in the movie!
Thanks again for giving me my first movie song placement! And congrats on releasing such a cool movie!
